Not knowing what else to do the villagers burned what was left of the body, but remained in fear not
knowing what was being plotted around his missing anatomy. Deciding to take the
side of caution the people of Sheeschelles have decided that only the total destruction of Pei-Mei will bring them peace,
of mind or otherwise. Unfortunately for them they have no idea where in the hell
the four students are, and even if they did nobody in the village is of the means to retrieve the pieces. For answers, the residents turned to the very old sage-hermit Ki Ki La Mu (roughly translating as “best
bullshiter”) who dwelled in the highlands near their small sea town. After
hearing their story, Ki Ki agreed to meditate on the problem and help them if he could, informing them to “come back
in 3 day, no more, no less”. Upon returning Master La Mu handed them a
hand-held device with 3 small white pearls lined over a larger black opal set upon its face.
Upon it’s acceptance the group asked how it worked and what they should do next and were informed of the following,
“Well, as some of you may know I’m
the oldest man in this here part of the world, even older then Pei-Mei himself. In
fact I knew him and his family, before he killed them, when he was but a boy. Anyway,
in all my old grizzled life I’ve only met one “person” who even came close to having the mountainous ego
that Pei-Mei had. This other guy was a big fella who had a habit of having his
head come off his body every now and then, but it didn’t seem to bother him much.
Rode around on a big, spooky looking horse he did, and was always using that strange horse to chase around some other
big fella who liked to dress himself in bright pastel colors and ride around in skies.
Many people often wondered what exactly the two big guys were chasing each other around for… Regardless, I heard that guy is retired to his home world now. Estoria
or Hysteria or something like that I think it’s called; a bad place I’ve heard.
Seems that everybody that goes there and tries to do some good seems to die a swift and horrible death. The god(s) there, I’ve heard, is terrible... Well, with
that ego safely tucked away and not likely to cause any interference, I tapped into what was lingering of Pei-Mei’s
here on our little world. Upon depressing one of the white pearls, you will be
linked to the remaining portions of Pei-Mei’s body, one at a time, which house the remaining tidbits of his vast ego
and be teleported to an area close, but not necessarily exact to its location. Unfortunately
for you, you must find one of the four missing anatomical extremities to begin the chain, although I think that one amongst
your people may have an idea where to start looking.
