(UC) United Clan Lineage and Structure
Each Clan maintains a peaceful relationship with each other clan in the UC. Each clan maintains a clan hall and heritage foundation for their community. Each clan maintains an understanding of each others culture and value system. All clan members participate in the yearly Melosia Great Feast in the Autumn. In time of strife and war each clan has bound itself by word and blood to defend the
other clans. The last time this bond was tested was when the great Troll wars
were fought in 736. Each clan has all the competitors of the Great Feast
attain tattoos of their clan symbol before completing. This is done on the neck
behind the ear on the left side. Most Clan members both men and women have been
tattooed. 2% have not. Usually those
married into the clan from outside.
Takahan
The Takahan clan was originated by Belzu Takahan in 607 during
the age of the Duke. His rule of his family and the ferry traffic was a clockwork
organization. The river Takahana was maintained to a level not seen since his
demise. The Takahans that live on reside on both sides of the river and have
a tight relationship with the elves of Nelson and the dwarves of the Vox mountain range.

tribute that they can bestow on one of their own. They will spend nights outside
on a regular basis. They often hold clan meetings at night under the stars. They are thought to be a Clan of in your face rough and tough bloaks.
Rivside
The Rivside clan is an old clan that is looked at by most to
be the weakest clanin the UC. The clan hides themselves from the other clans
and spends much of their days in the bottoms down by the river. At least that it what most others believe
them to be like. They are a quiet people who are fierce warriors and deeply religious. They worship Quantom, Funter, and Spraye mostly.
They love to fish and hunt mushrooms. They have many rogues, fighters
and clerics among the populace. They speak a tad bit of elven, but mostly a form

use waterways. They have a bond with the Kellin and Takahan clans. They often can be found in streams and lakes enjoying the day. The
speak elven but will rarely be found in the company of dwarves since their all thieves.
The Rivside strongly believe that the Melos clan is the central authority but distrust
the Leashy very much. They believe that all good people swim daily to cleanse
themselves.
Melos
The Melos clan is eldest and
most respected clan. It was founded by Zen Melos. He helped establish the clan system in 394 shortly after the Cantarian Mists enveloped
the lands of Moreshar and Kaneada. Zen Melos
and his sons set out to compete and his eldest son Karl Melos established the Melosia Feast of Autumn now called the Melosia
Great Feast. The Melos clan controls most of
the politics of the UC and also controls most government jobs. The Melos clan is centrally located in Melosia and maintains the great Melos Hall. Their
clan is known for all class of men. They have many sages, mages, scholars and
wise men. The Melos clan has a large cadre of
intellectuals. The clerics of Melos are almost
exclusively Quantom. They definitely have an aura of confidence that others do
not possess. They compete along with the other clans but rarely have they succeeded
in recent historical records. The symbol of the clan is the black
staff. The common surnames are Melos, Melosson,
Binrude, Slowhand, Keller, Meloman, and Zoraster.

they were born to lead. Although there can only be one true leader, they will
show the way. They try to bring all into the fold and often look for the intellectual
solution. They will seek to talk rather then fight. They believe those that work with their hands are inferior. They
are firm believers in the law, regardless of the sense of the law. They want
to better all mankind.
Bricksetter
The Bricksetter clan was established in 600. The clan elders worked on road building as slaves and their descendants worked on the great emperors road
in the 680s. They were very hardy
workers and fairly pios. The Bricksetter clan mostly worship the god Egdar and
quantum. They have some other smaller sects that have broken out over the years
of other faiths, but these are fairly exclusive. They speak common and lizardman
fluently. They have by their very nature tough bodies. They

the clan is the brick. The common surnames are Bricksetter, Bricksetterson, Bricksetterman,

at Melosia to represent the clan. Some as spectators, others at competitors. They all have to be competent in masonry. They
believe that things that buildings and materials of burning substances are a nuisance.
Bushcut
The Bushcut clan was a recent add-on. The clan is a rural clan that are for the most part stupid. They
listen strongly to all sides and usually go with the majority. They grow crops
of wheat and barley and make ale for the clans. Their Beer is known throughout
the land. Bushcutter is the Brand. They
are people who fill the ranks of the militia and are hardy strong men. They have
no wizards and travel to other clan lands for religious purposes. They are the most restricted class
clan of them all. All Bushcut clan members have a bonus of +1 to their initial
strength and wisdom rolls. The symbol of the clan is the spade. The
common surnames are Bushcut, Bushcutman Bushcutson, Pyle, Longshovel, Redspade, and Wideshoulders.
BELIEFS: Often the Bushcut
feel that since they have only been in the clan for less then 50 years, that they are less welcome. This is probably true. They have less history. They still retain some odd friendships that the other clansman do not support. They have a bond to a family named the Byrons. This family
could be another clan but chose not to belong. The Bushcut still befriend many
of those. They are hard workers and believe that the Melos
and Leashy clans are the lazy clan members. They often work in their fields until
dark and use lanterns at night. They developed a lantern signal system with over
100 words of vocabulary. They are excellent diggers of dirt and hoers of field. They have natural green thumbs and others could not begin to compete. It is true they have the best Ale around.
Leashy
The Leashy is a clan that is almost as old as the Melos founders. They established themselves in 399. It is a clan that is tight nit and one that has strong bond ties with the Melos. They can become any class of character and have
a strong devotion to all the good gods. They have some wizards but they are few
and far between. They are well-rounded and intelligent folk. They are shepherds and raise large flocks of sheep. They speak
in a dialect that requires a lot of tongue, many feel that they have a speech problem, when in fact that is how they speak.
They let the Melos clan speak for them at the clan meetings. The symbol of the clan is the sheep.
Their common surnames are Leashy, Collard, Samba, Leashol, Leashon, Sheepsman
and Callofoot.
BELIEFS: Most of the clan
believes that they are bond to the Melos clan. They
know that the Bushcut and Brickset clans are not to be trusted. All of them are
thieves and lazy. They have a natural fear/uncomfortable worry about rivers. Flowing water makes them ill. They often
have pet dogs and most carry large Shepard poles. They are big on wool even when
the weather does not support such clothes. They also believe it is important
to know where your towel is. They will not be comfortable without proper sleeping
equipment.
