This adventure begins, where the last adventure ended.  The party took out the warforged assailents, and were called back to speak with Commander Faulk.  The party arrived during the WildNight Festival, during the daytime, and were told by the commander to lay low and wait one week for new orders.

 

The party left the Cracked Inn in Middle Dura, and were assaulted by 10 robed figures that were identified as agents of the Blackened Book, and the professor Il Taner of Middle Methis.  The party were captured, taken to her apt home, and questioned.  She used a magical wand of truth detection, which glowed red or green depending on the truth being told.  Eventually the truth about the night the party robbed her came out and the book that was taken from her that night was revealed.  The party discovered a clue in the book that required some sluething on their part.

 

The party had to travel to the dagger river and pull water from the river to activate a component of the Aquavarian magical protections that the book had.  They did this and discovered the name Sir Alyn.  A page had been stolen the night of the robbery and replaced with a code word to ID the connection to William Bluenight and the Aningo Family.  The party fought some tough thieves near the shorelines of the Dagger river and recovered a bone ring, holy scabbard, amulet of Slow Poison and a cats Rod.  All of which the party needed.  They are now in position with Sir Alyn, and his dog Cane, as well as 11 potions to discover if the 3 Silver Slayers are actally in the locale that they anticipate them to be.  They will find out in the next installment, as we time-stopped right there in the planning stages of the assault.

 

  There were many chances (pardon the pun) to use knowlege checks and other skill checks.  During the meeting with Sir Alyn, that the professor arranged, he set a morality test on the party to see if they would take the bait, and save a helpless maiden, the party surprised the actor gang wannabees, and nearly killed them all in a mater of 1 surprise round.  Sir Alyn was barely able to step in to stop the slaughter.

 

Cane is a large 160lbs dog that wears a magical collar.  Sir Alyn stated that Cane had fought with him for many years, taken 14 arrows, and been knocked unconscious, but had never died.  He commanded that Cane travel with the party, but made them promise to bring him back alive.

 

The assualt the party is planning is to be down at the Nunnari's Folly tower in Lower NorthEdge.  The entrance to the tower is in Middle Northedge, but is a neighborhood full of loyal warforged.  Getting close could be a deadly task of its own.
