The adventure begins in Dura, at the Inn. The party must complete their treasure division prior to their next mission.
During this period of time, Achilles reveals a side mission he ventured on to have a map commisioned of a Villa known
to the locals as Hilvenom. The Villa is the home to Count Gothen. The Villa is believed to be hideout
of the Lady Langrella. The Villa is located some 10 miles outside the city on bluffs overlooking the Dagger
river. Here is a depiction of the site.
For some of you, this may be the first time you have been asked to leave the city. For others, it is surely only
another of a handful of times you left the city walls. The journey seems a bit dangerous just getting to the City Middle
Level gates, Those will send you down to the lower gate for exit to transport.
The party left town rather quickly and visited the local village where everything seemed to be more expensive.
The party made several recon attempts before entering the Villa (like 3 hours worth) and then decided to enter after getting
an overnight exclusive view of the specialty gardens of the Count. The party as a whole turned invisible and attempted
to fly into the complex. There were issues with flying as the party soon discovered with some wards protecting the entire
Villa at approximately 30 feet above the ground. After locating the guest house, and keys, they party entered the guest
house, attacked a guard on watch, and proceeded to fight in close quarters with the Lady and her guards. Ciscero and
Achilles both died in the fight, while others were badly beaten up. The party in the end used mighty magics, defeated
the Lady, stripped magic from bodies after detecting what they could, found some invisible gloves, and several suits of armor
and weapons.
In
the confusion of gathering magic, casting detect magic, drinking potions, you hastily gathered your loot, box it up tether
it down, load it and make a run for it, just about the time 3 agents of the king make their way toward guest house, some 20
minutes after your battle. You slip out the back invisible, around the agents, and out the front door, as they approached
from the other direction. You escape with your lives, and loot. Well some of you escaped with your lives and loot.
You divide treasure, and have just enough time to check back in with Commander Faulk, before setting out after the Silver
Slayers, if that is what you choose to do. You have some time ahead of you. Achilles tells you that he has some
recon to do regarding the Slayers, and will scout out ahead.
